The 1.2 version of Startrail is available for download. In this new version I added some features users requested. I added a function to generate a single burst of stars (useful to locate the mouse pointer when the app is paused). I also added hotkeys for pause and burst functions. This was not straightforward as it may seem, because Cocoa does not have APIs to do it, so it must be done in Carbon. I must thank Dustin Bachrach for the tutorial on his blog which saved me a lot of time. Now it's also possible to configure stars size, rotation and gravity in the preferences panel. I hope you will enjoy these new features. As always suggestions and contributions are really appreciated!

The 1.1 version of Startrail is available for download. In this version I added an item in the app menu to pause the trail of stars without quitting the app. I also added a license agreement for the first launch of the app as well as a little tip window (also visible only the first time the app is launched) so no one misses the little menu icon in the status bar. As always comments and suggestions are welcome.

Finally I came to a solution to the "lower-left-part-of-the-screen" bug. The corrected version of Startrail is available for download in the Startrail section of the website. Thanks to Katharina Brassat and Tegan Dayne for helping me testing my app. Finally I can begin to work on some of the features you requested. I'll publish new versions as soon as they are ready and stable.

I'm trying to resolve a problem reported by some users. Sometimes Startrail appears only in the lower-left quarter of the screen. The problem is that on my Mac it works perfectly and the worst bugs to fix are those you can't replicate. So I'm trying some solutions. If someone experiences the same problem, please let me know on which machine you are trying to run the App. Thank you.

Thanks to the ones that gave me feedback on Startrail. Someone gave me good ideas. Hopefully I will realize them ASAP, so come back to check for updates. (In a future version the update check will be automatic, but I can't guarrantee this will happen in the 1.1 version. I prefer to release new versions as soon as they are ready and stable).
