I'm sorry to announce that, due to a OS bug, Startrail does not work on Snow Leopard. To be a little more specific, there is a certain case in which apps stop receiving mouse movements (if you want me to be more technical, please email me). Obviously this is the case for Startrail. I filed the bug to Apple, but since it is a very specific bug, I don't know when or wether it will be fixed. I'm very sorry, I tried some workaround but none of them seems to work. So please be advised that if you intend to upgrade to Snow Leopard, Startrail will not work anymore.
If you bought a license for Startrail after Snow Leopard release, please email me for a refund. |

I'm really disappointed too. It's been a while since Snow Leopard has been released, but in the last updates Apple did not fix this bug. I submitted it to them and they acknowledged it as a bug, but still it has not been corrected. I'm waiting hopefully for the next OS update.
This is sad, because a lot of people liked it and I also received emails from partially blind people that really needed Startrail to use their computer. Some decided not to upgrade to Snow Leopard to avoid losing Startrail.
I worked really hard to find a workaround, but had no success. It saddens me to not be able to fix this, but I'm helpless and I can only sit and wait for Apple to do something.
I'm happy you enjoyed Startrail. Thank you very much for your comment.
thanks,

On another note, did you remove the archive (download link) off the site?
Unfortunately developers cannot exert much pressure on Apple. I reported the bug and they aknowledged it, but when and how they fix it is undiscolsed.
I did not remove the download link from the page since there are still people using Leopard.
