Releasing an application does not only mean to develop it. As you go further and further, you find that more and more tasks have to be completed before coming to the final release. Being the only one to work and with a 8 hours a day job surely makes everything harder than usual, but beside being tiring it is also funny. The development of MacZone project has ended a month and half ago, but I'm still not able to release it. I spent the last period designing the icons and redesigning the website. Something has still to be done, but I'm satisfied with the result. I'm not a designer (yet...), but I'm proud to have been able to do all these design tasks by myself, including xhtml and css. You will see it online when I will release the app. But alas, I have some more things to take care of. I have to write down a user manual. It won't be a long one, because the app is fairly simple to use, but it must be done, and it must be made well. I have to set up the payment system (even if I already did this for Startrail, it is not straightforward. Moreover I need to fix it so you people do not have to wait for their browser to return here). I also have to implement a new system to track downloads of my applications for statistical purposes. There is also the app beta testing, but I need to have almost all the rest set up to be able to follow it properly. Things have to be done, one after another, and I have to tell you that this is not easy. But also that I will do them, as it is required, wthout complaining. So stay tuned. |
